The Goodvalley way of farming
In Goodvalley, we are passionate about creating new ways to produce excellent quality food while having the utmost respect for nature. We do things our way. Ourselves. We believe it’s natural to cultivate our own land to grow our own crops. We harvest those crops to make our own feed and raise our own pigs to prepare our own meat. We do it this way to ensure quality all the way.
To us, it’s natural to treat our environment with respect by reusing what we borrow from nature and maintaining a CO2-neutral footprint. We believe this is the right way to farm. It’s the sustainable way. The Goodvalley way.
We harvest our own fields
It is important for us to harvest our fields by ourselves. This way we can control the harvesting proces and by using modern technology and equipment our machines are less invasive and less damaging to the environment.
We produce our own energy
In our biogas plants we use waste products from all steps of the production. This way we generate heat and energy for our units while we use the degassed minerals as a valuable fertilizer on our fields. This proces makes us completely CO2 neutral.
We raise our own pigs
In Goodvalley we raise our pigs without using antibiotics. Our animal welfare standards are above EU legislation and we always make sure the pigs have the required space, toys avaliable and people who care for them at every stage of their growth. Our breed is Landrace and Yorkshire mixed with Duroc.
We grow our own crops
In Goodvalley we have 36.500 hectares of land. We grow our crops by using degassed manure from our biogas plants. This way we cultivate our soil while taking care of the environment. We have wheat, barley, rape, corn, rye, sunflower and soy.
We prepare our own quality meat
Our meat is made from pigs raised without antibiotics and our processed products are always witout any preservatives. Only by controlling all stages of the production, we can take full responsibility for the quality of our meat.
We process our own feed
In Goodvalley we have our own feedmills where we prepare feed for our pigs. This way we can make sure our feed mix contains all of the natural components which are needed to keep our pigs healthy. This way we dont need to use antibiotics when raising our pigs.
